Unity College is the first customer of the Edorble platform (#671). It gets a whitelabelled version of the same platform, not a fork. Branding, maps, and configuration are customer data on top of the platform.
Source material on the msi1060cederik backup (msi1060cederik-backup/Data on the Storage Box):
- Projects/2021/Unity College/Virtual Campus Realistic Map (the main campus map, checksum-verified in the backup).
- Projects/2021/Unity College/Virtual Campus November Map and Projects/2022/Unity College/Virtual Campus Closed Beta Map.
- Projects/2021/Unity College/Unity College Virtual Campus and Virtual Campus: Edorble-Unity-Client forks from the whitelabel era. Treat these as reference only; the goal is config-driven whitelabel on the platform client.
- Projects/2020/Unity College: Virtual Forest and Virtual Ocean side projects.
- Unity College (top level, 321 MB): documents and assets.
Scope for child issues:
- Extract the Unity College branding and map content from the 2021 client forks.
- Load the Virtual Campus maps through the platform map pipeline.
- Stand up a Unity College instance of the platform on the Hydra as the first whitelabel deployment.
Depends on the platform master #671. The whitelabel mechanism itself is platform scope; this issue tracks the customer deliverable.
